- UN-Habitat Lebanon
The winning project of a public space design competition among North Lebanon's Universities, organized by UN-Habitat Lebanon and the Order of Engineers and Architects in Tripoli.
The competition's objective was to design an inclusive public space project in the neighborhood of Abi Samra in Tripoli, Lebanon.
The project aims to revive the memory of the olive trees which are considered as the main heritage of the area and which are threatened by the raisinng density of buildings. The design is based on a participatory approach, where people were engaged in the brainstorming and design process. The space is dedicated to the well being of people as it is a safe haven to communicate and relax as well as to collaborate, work, produce and restore.
